Quick Navigation
1. Services and Supported Devices
Services are provided only after approved work-order scope. Supported categories:
- Laptops
- Desktop PCs
- Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X
- PlayStation 5 (all digital/disc models)
Service types may include diagnostics, optimization/debloat, malware cleanup, internal/external cleaning, thermal paste service, and OS clean install/deployment tasks as approved on the work order.
If a requested service is outside approved offerings, clients may be referred to Evolv Device Repair. Any referral does not create responsibility for third-party pricing, timelines, work quality, or outcomes.
2. Excluded Devices and Work Boundaries
Unless added by signed written amendment, excluded categories include:
- Mac desktops and Mac laptops
- PlayStation models other than PS5
- Xbox models other than Series S/X
- Nintendo systems, Steam Deck, and handheld PCs
- Phones, tablets, watches, and e-readers
- Printers, displays/TV panels, projectors
- Routers, modems, mesh, switches, servers, and NAS devices
- Devices with active liquid damage, severe corrosion, or major board damage
Soldering services are not offered under any circumstance, including board-level soldering, desoldering, micro-soldering, BGA work, or trace/component repair. PS5 liquid metal replacement is excluded unless separately approved in writing.
3. Pricing and Payment Terms
- Pricing is fixed flat-rate per approved service, not hourly.
- Listed prices are pre-tax; final invoice includes tax and approved add-ons/parts.
- Accepted payment methods are PayPal, Zelle, and checks only.
- Any payment processor or bank fees are paid by the client and are added to or included in the final amount due.
- For check payments, device release may be delayed until funds fully clear. Returned-check fees and related bank charges are client responsibility.
- Diagnostics-only service is $39 and may be waived when proceeding with same-cycle paid service.
- Payment is due on completion unless otherwise stated in invoice terms.
- No additional paid scope, parts purchase, or add-on service is performed without documented written client approval (email/text/work-order update accepted).
- If unpaid, device release may be withheld until full balance is paid.
4. Warranty and Rework Limits
Limited workmanship warranty applies only to defects directly caused by performed service:
- Cleaning-only and software services: 14 calendar days
- Thermal paste/heatsink service: 30 calendar days
Remedy is rework of original service. If rework is not feasible, refund is capped at the amount paid for that specific service line item.
Any claimed workmanship issue must be reported within the applicable warranty window to be eligible for warranty evaluation.
Warranty excludes pre-existing defects, wear and tear, new unrelated failures, liquid/impact damage, power events, third-party tampering, and vendor update regressions.
5. Risk and Data Acknowledgment
- No specific performance improvement, compatibility outcome, or uptime guarantee.
- Client must disclose known issues and provide valid credentials/authorization.
- Data loss risk exists during service; client is responsible for backups unless backup service is explicitly approved.
- Service may be suspended for suspected illegal content or high-risk infection conditions.
6. Liability and Legal Terms
- Services are provided as-is and as-available to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- No liability for indirect/incidental/consequential damages, including lost data, profits, business opportunity, or downtime.
- Total liability cap is limited to the amount paid for the specific work order at issue.
- Washington law governs service agreements; venue is a court of competent jurisdiction serving Pierce County unless law requires otherwise.
- Parties attempt good-faith resolution first, then mediation before suit unless urgent relief is required.
- Nothing in these terms is intended to waive any non-waivable consumer rights or remedies under applicable law.
7. Pickup, Storage, and Abandonment
- Client has a 14-day grace period after completion notice to pick up and pay.
- After grace period, storage fee may be charged at $10 per week per device.
- Unclaimed devices after 60 days may be treated as abandoned under applicable law.
