Service Terms

The summary below is adapted from my Device Service Client Packet and is intended for clear client communication. This page is informational and not legal advice.

• Supported devices are laptops, desktop PCs, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 (digital and disc editions), based on approved work order scope.
• Services are fixed flat-rate prices. Final invoice equals approved services plus applicable tax and approved parts/add-ons.
• Accepted payment methods are PayPal, Zelle, and checks only. Any processor/bank fees are the client's responsibility.
• No specific performance outcome, compatibility result, or uptime guarantee is provided.
• Client is responsible for accurate issue disclosure, credentials, account authorization, and secure backups before service.
• Diagnostics-only service is billed at $39 and is waived if the same intake proceeds with a paid service.
• If payment is not made when due, device release may be held until balance is paid in full.
• Limited workmanship warranty windows apply to service-specific rework only: 14 days for cleaning/software services and 30 days for thermal paste services.
• Any claimed workmanship issue must be reported within the applicable warranty window to be eligible for evaluation.
• Liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific work order. Indirect or consequential damages are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• Data loss risk exists during service. If backup is declined or incomplete, client accepts associated data-loss risk.
• No additional paid scope, parts purchase, or add-on service is performed without documented written client approval.
• Unsupported categories include Mac devices, non-PS5 PlayStation models, non-Series Xbox models, Nintendo devices, phones/tablets, and network infrastructure equipment. For unsupported requests, clients may be referred to Evolv Device Repair.
• Any referral for out-of-scope service does not create responsibility for third-party pricing, timelines, work quality, or outcomes.
• Soldering services are not offered, including board-level soldering, desoldering, micro-soldering, and chip/trace repair.
• PlayStation 5 liquid metal replacement is excluded unless separately approved in writing.
• After completion notice, devices not picked up within 14 days may incur storage fees, and unclaimed devices may be treated as abandoned per applicable law.
• Washington law governs service agreements, with venue in a court of competent jurisdiction serving Pierce County, unless law requires otherwise.
• Nothing in these terms is intended to waive non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.
