Goals
- Earn my first role in IT support or junior web development and grow into a long‑term career.
- Build real‑world projects that improve reliability, UX, and performance for small businesses and communities.
- Contribute to progress from today’s LLMs toward safe, useful AGI—especially in education—to assist special‑needs classrooms and help students learn at their own pace.
- Build toward self‑employment and financial self‑reliance over time.
- Help address homelessness in Washington and beyond, applying technology and community support where useful.
- Support others with arthritis and fibromyalgia in finding accessible, sustainable careers in tech.
- Continue learning modern web tooling (SvelteKit, TypeScript, Tailwind) and pursue core CompTIA certifications: A+, Network+, and Security+.
Hobbies
- Video games — especially Minecraft and Paradox Interactive titles like Hearts of Iron IV and Victoria 3.
- Interested in creating my own mods for the games I play.
- Web development — I enjoy designing and building sites like Tacoma Web Works.
- Music — lots of classic country (Johnny Cash, Toby Keith) plus Doo‑Wop, Soul, Rock & Roll, Motown, Rockabilly, Retro/Classic Soul, Souldies, and Traditional Country.
- Exercise and staying in good health.
Interests
- Cars and trucks — classic and restored vehicles; dream vehicle is my grandpa’s 1982 GMC Sierra.
- History — I've been reading a lot about the Roman Empire and medieval periods recently I find them fascinating.
- Geography — I can name 185 countries from memory (last time I tested myself) and I’m especially interested in different regions and their histories.
- Military vehicles — I'm fascinated by WWII production like the Sherman tank’s massive output and its use against more advanced German armor.
- Aviation — my favorite aircraft is the P‑51H for its balance of firepower and speed; in some scenarios it could even keep up with the Me 262.
- Theology — especially the martyrs of Christianity; I’ve been listening to and enjoying Foxe’s Book of Martyrs.
- Psychology — I’ve enjoyed books like Jordan Peterson’s “12 Rules for Life” and “We Who Wrestle with God,” and Jonathan Haidt’s “The Righteous Mind.”
Faith
I’m a Christian and my life is rooted in faith. I openly proclaim my faith and strive to put God first in everything I do. I don’t push or pressure anyone—respect and kindness guide how I work with others.
I know some people hesitate to share their faith publicly—often out of concern it could affect opportunities. I choose to be open about mine and happily wear my cross.
If you’re scared to proclaim your faith, pray, and God will provide.
If you have any questions about my faith—or want to challenge it—I encourage it—please email me at
and we can set up a call sometime to discuss.Health and work style
I live with arthritis and fibromyalgia. These conditions are manageable day‑to‑day, but standing for long periods can be challenging. I left a recent Domino’s role because the job kept me on my feet for extended shifts.
I do my best work in roles that allow seated/remote tasks, ergonomic setups, and reasonable breaks. I’m transparent about this to set expectations and to succeed with the right support.
